Description
➢ Chronology: On Sunday, October 13, 2024, at around 11.00 WITA, a hotspot was detected in the forest area around Pengubengan Temple at an altitude of approximately 2000 meters above sea level. The RPH monitoring team reported that the fire was visible from a distance. The cause of the fire is under investigation and investigation by law enforcement.

● Monday, October 14, 2024 – At 10.30 WITA, the team monitored the location of the forest fire which is estimated to have started on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at around 11.15 WITA between the forest boundary markers B.933 and B.935. From the monitoring results, six hotspots were identified that burned vegetation in the form of pine trees, firs, and bushes with an estimated affected area of 100 hectares.
● Extinguishing has not been carried out due to difficult access to the fire location, which requires a travel time of around 4 hours. Hot weather conditions around the fire area also increase the risk and slow down handling.
